IB Physics HL B.3.3 Ideal gas model

IB Physics syllabusFirst assessment 2025
Revise the ideal gas model by testing its assumptions against statements, graphs and data, and deciding when a real gas will differ.
How this is tested
- choose valid model assumptions such as elastic collisions and negligible intermolecular forces
- use a graph or data table to check whether `pV` stays constant, then judge if the gas behaves ideally
- state one model assumption that fails for a real gas, such as finite particle volume or attractive forces
