Practise interpreting vectors in words and diagrams, including resultants, direction changes and scalar-vector distinctions in common mechanics contexts.
How this is tested
- compare scalars with vectors and choose the option where magnitude and direction are treated correctly
- interpret a vector diagram after one force is reversed or scaled, then select the new resultant
- calculate a velocity from horizontal and vertical components, giving both speed and direction
