Practise analysing series and parallel resistor networks to find total resistance, current, p.d. and power after switches or settings change.
How this is tested
- find total resistance by combining series additions with parallel reciprocals from the circuit diagram
- determine current or p.d. after a switch changes which branches are active or bypassed
- use equivalent resistance to compare resistor combinations and rank them from least to greatest
