Explain the role of bile in the breakdown of protein by trypsin.
(bile) is alkaline and so neutralises the mixture (from the stomach) / (bile) neutralises the (named) acidic mixture (from the stomach) ; provides, optimum / suitable, pH (for trypsin activity) ;
