Practise solving quadratic equations and inequalities, using discriminants, roots, signs and tangent conditions in algebraic and graph contexts.
How this is tested
- use Δ>0, Δ<0 or Δ=0 to decide real roots, no real roots or tangency to a line
- solve quadratic inequalities by finding critical roots, then using a sign diagram or graph interval
- apply product of roots or sign conditions to restrict parameters when both roots have the same sign
