7.2.5—Management communication role

Level

Managers make communication actionable through clarity and feedback

Managers facilitate communication by clarifying objectives, choosing suitable channels, listening, checking understanding, sharing relevant information and responding to concerns.

Good communication links decisions to reasons and roles. It can surface risks early, but openness must be supported by credible action and confidentiality where needed.

Before changing shifts, a manager can explain the constraint, invite operational evidence, confirm the final decision and monitor whether the new pattern works.

Consultation is not meaningful if the decision is already fixed and feedback cannot change implementation.
