Business communication transfers information and meaning so people can coordinate work, make decisions, influence behaviour and maintain relationships.
The purpose determines what needs to be said, to whom, through which channel and with what feedback. Accuracy, timing and shared interpretation matter as much as transmission.
A safety change needs clear instructions and confirmation of understanding; a strategy message needs context and dialogue so teams can connect it to their work.
Sending a message is not proof of communication; the receiver must be able to interpret and act on it.
