Answer the research question
State a conclusion that directly answers the question and refers to the observed relationship, graph or calculated value. Do not merely repeat the procedure.
Use uncertainty in the claim
Compare measured and accepted values using their uncertainties. A value within the uncertainty range supports agreement; a value outside it suggests disagreement or a limitation.
Discuss scientific context
Relate the result to the model or law being tested, and state whether the evidence is strong enough for the scope of the investigation.
Common trap
Do not call a result accurate simply because it is close to an accepted value without comparing the uncertainty.
Questions outline a conclusion about Stefan–Boltzmann law or state a conclusion based on a result and its uncertainty.
Outline / Suggest
Refer to the observed relationship or value and explicitly use uncertainty or accuracy evidence.
Repeating a result without interpreting it or claiming agreement without the uncertainty comparison.
Explain the effect of an error
Name the systematic error, state how it changes the measured variable, and then state whether the calculated result is too high or too low. For example, heat lost to surroundings makes the calculated specific heat capacity too large if input energy is used as though it all entered the water.
State a limitation
A limitation is a feature of the apparatus, range, model or assumption that restricts the conclusion. Link it to the evidence rather than listing a generic “human error.”
Propose a realistic improvement
Change the method or apparatus so the named error is reduced or measured: insulate, calibrate, widen the independent-variable range, repeat readings or use independent review when evaluating scientific validity.
Common trap
Do not propose “be more careful” as an improvement. It must target a stated source of uncertainty or bias and have a physical effect.
Questions explain the effect of heat loss or evaporation on calculated specific heat capacity and identify how scientific work gains support.
Outline / Identify
Name the mechanism, predict the direction of bias, or choose independent peer review when the question asks how validity is supported.
Naming heat loss without its effect on the calculated value or choosing instrumentation improvement when the question asks about independent scientific support.
Conclude from evidence
Answer the question, refer to the trend or value, and compare with uncertainty and the model.
Evaluate causally
Name the error or limitation, predict its effect, and propose an improvement that targets it realistically.
