How this is tested
- choose the regression line of x on y when predicting an x-value from a given y-value, not the y on x line
- substitute into a regression equation such as x=0.987y-3.22 and round the predicted score or measurement
- explain why a prediction method is inappropriate when it uses the wrong regression direction
