Award 1 mark if an appropriate reason is given but not justified.
Award 0 marks if it is not a directional or non-directional hypothesis or it does apply to the plan.
Example:
- A directional hypothesis was chosen because it was predicted that X would score more/be better/etc. than Y (1) reason related to plan (2).
- a non-directional hypothesis was chosen because it was predicted that there would be a difference between X and Y(1) X reason related to study (2).
