Hence use algebraic integration to show that
where α and β are integers to be found.
∫(2x−1+x−26)dx=x2−x+6ln(x−2)∫48g(x)dx=[x2−x+6ln(x−2)]48=56+6ln6−12−6ln2=44+6ln3
Therefore α=44, β=6.
