A.2.3—Substitution into algebraic equations question 1

[Maximum number: 1]

Obesity indicators are used to assess the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), including coronary heart disease (CHD). Obesity indicators include body mass index (BMI) and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR).

A woman who was 165 cm tall had a mass of 68 kg , a waist circumference of 85 cm and a hip measurement of 101 cm .

Calculate the BMI of this woman. Use the formula:

BMI= mass in kg( height in m)2\mathrm{BMI}=\frac{\text { mass in } \mathrm{kg}}{(\text { height in } \mathrm{m})^{2}}
